NEW DELHI, Dec 23: Silver prices fell by 0.55 per cent to Rs 43,765 per kg in futures trade today even as the precious metals recover in the global market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March fell l by Rs 242, or 0.55 per cent, to Rs 43,765 per kg in business turnover of 566 lots.
Similarly, the white metal for delivery in May declined by Rs 247, or 0.55 per cent, to Rs 44,720 per kg in business volume of 10 lots.
Market analysts said off-loading of positions by speculators despite rebound in the precious metals overseas, attributed fall in silver prices at futures trade here.
In the international market, silver traded little changed at USD 19.40 an ounce in Singapore. (AGENCIES)
