JAMMU, Sept 11: On the directions of Shriman 108 Mohant Majit Singh Ji of Shiromani Dera Nangali Sahib, Poonch, the Sikh Sangat of Jammu started providing relief material including food and water bottles to the flood victims of Kashmir valley.
In this connection a relief committee comprising of various Sikh organisations has also been constituted and a control room has been opened at Digiana Ashram, Jammu.
The Sikh Sangat today dispatched a truck of cooked food, drinking water bottles and other needful commodities to Valley through Air Force’s choppers.
Mohant Manjit Singh Ji also visited Rajouri and Poonch to condole the loss of lives and extending help to the needy. Meanwhile, chairman, J&K Sikh United Front, Sudershan Singh Wazir, held a meeting to supervise the relief work for flood victims in the State and appealed the people to come forward and help the flood victims in this hour of need.
