CII dispatches relief material for J&K

JAMMU, Sept 11: In a bid to stand by thousands of people affected by the recent natural calamity in J & K, the Confede-ration of Indian Industry (CII) dispatched sustainable relief material for J&K from Chandigarh.
CII tied up with the Western Command, Indian Army, headquartered at Chandimandir which in turn air lifted the relief material including commodities of utmost requirement to Srinagar in the afternoon from 3 BRD Air force Station in Chandigarh, today.
The relief material consisted of 4200 Torches with Batteries, 20 Water Purifiers, 4800 Maggi Noodles packs, 2400 juice bottles, 2100 Glucon-D 100gm packs, 10000 Glucose Biscuits, 5400 water bottles, 14 cartons of Medicines, 800 blankets, toiletries etc.
CII will also dispatch thousand kits comprising: food items, soaps, medicines (Paracetamol & Antacid), candles, salt, drinking water, matchboxes, milk powder, toiletries and torches etc. from Jammu, whose distribution would be done by the local administration.
