JAMMU, Sept 11: A meeting of General Line Teachers Forum was held under the chairmanship of Neeraj Sharma for discussing the prevailing mess in Education Department.
The meet alleged pick and choose policy in transfers of teachers and said that ReTs in Jammu were being shifted to create vacancy for contractual teachers in some pockets. In fact these teachers are to be appointed against the actual vacancies referred by the Government at the time of advertisement and not against the positions being created due to transferring of existing teachers, the Forum explained.
The meet urged the Chief Minister to look into the matter and take corrective measures.
