Sikh bodies for creating awareness in community

KATHUA, Mar 18: The leaders of various Sikh organisations today resolved to strengthen the Sikh bodies and community by creating awareness and holding various programs across the State.
A meeting in this connection was held in the premises of Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Sawan Chak in  Kathua today under the chairmanship of S. Dayal Singh Wazir, president Sharomani Akali Dal J&K, along with various Sikh organizations of State including Sikh United Front, Bhai Kanaya Nishkam Sewa Society, AISSF, Sikh Naujawan Sabha and Sikh Welfare Society.
DGPC Jammu members  Amrik Singh,  Darbinder Singh, Ramnik Singh, Fateh Singh, Raja Singh and Surinder Singh Kala, convenor J&K Motor Transport Companies Association Jammu  also attended the meeting..
It was organized under the directions of  Mahant Manjit Singh Ji of Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch to bring the unity among the Sikh masses and strengthen  the Sikh organizations at grass-root level, so that long pending issues and problems faced by the Sikh community could be solved.
They stressed that Sikh organizations should be reorganized from block level to district levels  and from province to state level. The participants in the meeting unanimously passed a resolution and appealed the Sikh community to be united at one platform to fight and achieve the goal. The speakers also resolved to fight against drug menace.
Ranjit Singh, Member State Gurdwara Prabhandak Board, Jagbir Singh, Surinder Singh, Harjeet Singh Isher, Master Bhajan Singh,  Avtar Singh, members DGPC Kathua, Harjit Singh Wazir, Bachitter Singh, Ameet Singh, Master Marjeet Singh, Sourab Singh, Lambardar Joginder Singh,  Baldev Singh along with many others from  Kathua participated in the meeting and assured full co-operation.
The Sikh leaders strongly condemned the incident of Rajouri garden Delhi where the hair of Sikh youth were caused damage by some anti-social elements. They demanded action in this regard.
Prominent among those present in the meeting included Mohinder Singh, Paramjeet Singh, Kulwant Singh, Harpal Singh Prince, Harpreet Singh,  Rajinder Singh, Inderpal Singh,  Rajinder Singh, Surjeet Singh, Tejpal Singh and Kultar Singh.
