JAMMU, Sept 27: The Language Wing of the State Institute of Education (SIE), Jammu, organized Kavi Ghosti-a competition of recitation of poems in Hindi.
The programme was inaugurated by Director, School Education, Jammu, HR Pakhroo, who exhorted the faculty of SIE Jammu for organizing such programmes for bringing out the hidden talent among the young students.
In all, students of three districts participated in the event.
Sumit Kumar of GHSS (Boys), Udhampur bagged the first prize while Muskan of GHSS (Girls), Mubarak Mandi, Jammu was adjudged for 2nd prize and 3rd prize went to Vijay Kumar of GHSS (Boys), Kathua.
The jury comprised of Sarita Anand, Filed Advisor, Alka Sharma, Research Officer and Daulat Ram Sharma, Research Officer, SIE, Jammu.
The welcome address was presented by Shadi Lal Tengloo, Field Advisor (Languages) while the proceedings of the programme were conducted by Anil Kumar and Anita Kumari, Research Officers of the Language Wing.
The Field Advisors of SIE Jammu, SK Raina and Sarita Anana were also present on the occasion.
