Shuttering theft case solved

JAMMU, May 5: Police in Jammu’s Bagh-e-Bahu area claimed to have solved a shuttering theft case by arresting three thieves.
A police spokesperson said that on April 1, 2024, a complaint was lodged by one Junaid Hussain Malik of Channi Himmat at Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu alleging therein that some unidentified thieves decamped with shuttering material from the construction site near Sidhra Jammu, where work of Maa Vaishno Devi Expressway was in progress.
On this, he said, an FIR was lodged at Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu and different teams were constituted.
These teams, led by Inspector Vijay Verma, and under the guidance of SDPO City East and SP City South, rounded up three persons for questioning, he said.
They were identified as Yasir Hussain of Jakhori near Batra Hospital, Azid Hussain of Majeen and Basim Mohd of Israbad, Sidhra, Jammu.
During sustained questioning, the police spokesperson added that the accused confessed to their involvement in the crime and on their disclosure, the stolen shuttering material was recovered from their possession.
