NEW DELHI, Mar 27: Shuhul Taaph 2017- A two day yearly event of KECSS came to an end here today.
The first day started with an yearly progress report by KECSS and followed by award giving ceremony to the distinguished celebrities and chief guest.
Those who were honored included Prof Tej Nath Dhar for his outstanding contributions in the field of academies, Prof Rattan Lal Talashi for Kashmiri Language, Dhananjay Kaul and Sanjeev Gautam Raina for music, A K Jalla for community service, Bhuvanesh Raina for best artist painting.
Then the session was taken over by Kanwal Peshin a renowned anchor, comedian and actor. He along with other artists staged Chopayer Yee Gash in Shuhul Taaph with Vomedh Rangmanch from Jammu. The session was inaugurated by B B Dhar president and other dignitaries.
Chopayer Yee Gash a ray of hope that darkness will be overpowered by light some day depicting pain of exile with three generations of KPs. The script was written by Rakesh Roshan Bhat and directed by Rohit Bhat, the artists played par excellence, Vomedh Rangmanch has performed this play seven times now. It also gives a hope to unending exile as the writer tries to punish devil.
Kanwal Peshin made an impact with anchoring, artists were given away awards by Hope. Welfare society president Ramesh Kaul and Veena Wanchoo organiser gave award to B B Dhar president KECSS and later all artists of the play. They were given mementos. Kusum Dhar, Bharti Kaul, Arshad Nawshari, Vinay Pandita, Dazy Bazaz, Jatinder Jotshi, Shashi Naqaib, Jai Krishan Bali, Puneet J Bali, Arvin Tickoo, Rahul Pandita, Neeraj Magotra, Rakesh Roshan Bhat and Rohit Bhat. The session was presided by M K Kaw,former president AIKS and S Ganjoo from UK Lutin.
The second half of the day was also mesmerizing performance by Dhanjay Kaul with his sufiyana Kalams. He kept the audience spell bound. The function culminated with the performance of Gashtaruk Teamled by Sanjeev Gautam Raina.
Second day started with an Mushara in which renowned poets took part after that it was an open house presided by president KECSS Prof B B Dhar other participants were advocate Ashok Bhan, Dr Romesh Raina and Dr Hiralal Wangnoo.
