Shri Ram Sena demands maintenance of Zanana Park

JAMMU, May 15: Expressing serious concern over the pathetic condition of Zanana Park situated in the heart of Jammu city, Shri Ram Sena State president Rajiv Mahajan has said that despite highlighting the issue, no official from the Floriculture Department took cognizance of the report.
Mahajan lamented that Zanana Park has become a dumping place instead of recreation place. He said that filth is littered everywhere in the park while fountain is dysfunctional and filled with stale water emitting foul smell. Moreover, he added the park has become the breeding place for mosquitoes thereby giving every apprehension of outbreak of malaria or dengue in the area particularly to the visitors of the park.
Mahajan urged the Floriculture authorities to immediately rush the staff for cleanliness and maintenance of the park without wasting time before any indecent case of malaria or dengue is detected. He also threatened to gherao the Director Floriculture office as well as residence of the concerned Minister if cleanliness of the park is not started with immediate effect.
