JAMMU, May 25: The members of Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sanathan Trust submitted a memorandum to Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar listing several demands and suggestions.
On this occasion, Mahant Rohit Shastri, head of the Trust and Sarpanch Bhalwal Rajdev Singh said that Devvani Sanskrit should be taught in the schools of Jammu and Kashmir from class 6th and Higher Secondary School Domana as well as Raipur Domana Link Road should be named after Mahavir Chakra awarded Lt Colonel Mahatm Singh.
They also construction of bridge in front of Radha Soami Satsang Bhawan Keran and shifting of the garbage dumping yard at Kot Bhalwal to the forest area.
“The area where the garbage is being dumped is a residential area. Along with this, the new SDRF headquarter, Degree College JDA Colony and other residential areas are only 100 to 200 meters away from the dumping ground. To avoid epidemics etc, this garbage dumping yard should be shifted to the forest and away from the residential area,” they explained.
Rohit Shastri suggested that the Shribawa Kailakh Temple Thathar, Chhawa Mata Ranjan, Lord Parshuram Temple Akhnoor and other ancient temples of Jammu and Kashmir should be brought on the world tourism map.
On this occasion, Trust General Secretary Prabodh Sharma, Ajay Sharma, Uttam Chand Sharma,Rakesh Gandotra,Arjun Singh and others were also present.
