Anti encroachment drive continues in Samba

SAMBA, Sept 2: District administration Samba continuing its zero tolerance policy against encroachments in the district, today carried yet another anti-encroachment drive at Village Katli and demolished a shopping complex constructed over nine Kanals of State land.
The drive was launched under overall supervision of the Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Rohit Khajuria. The anti encroachment team today dismantled an illegal shopping complex constructed over nine Kanals of State land bearing Khasra Number 702. The shopping complex had seven pacca shops with a hall measuring 100x 60 feet measurements which were demolished during a three hours long anti encroachment drive.

The anti encroachment drive team headed by Assistant Commissioner, Revenue, Jitender Mishra, Tehsildar Samba, Rampal, Naib Tehsildar, Saudagar Mal, SHO Samba, Rajesh Jasrotia, besides other officials of Revenue and police reached the spot and pressed multiple JCB machines to dismantle the seven Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) shops of the shopping complex building, a water body on Ghair Mumkin on Khasra Number 702 Chapri- Sarkar – Rafe Aam situated adjoining National Highway 44 opposite Army Cantonment Katli, Samba.
District administration has issued directions across the districts Revenue head of tehsils to identify the encroachments in their area and report directly to Deputy Commissioner’s Office so that proper verification and necessary action can be taken. Strict warnings are also being served through social media platforms to the notorious land mafias that any attempt to encroach State, private, Khad and other type of lands will not go unnoticed and immediate action shall be taken as warranted under law.
The administration has also registered a case against the encroacher of the State land under relevant sections of the law and further warned strict action against the land grabbers if they fail to vacate the encroached land immediately.
It may be recalled that the administration had yesterday retrieved 510 kanals of State land near Samba town while it retrieved the State, forest and private land grabbed by mafia in Birpur, Baribrahmana last month by demolishing all structures including a hot mixing plant etc.
