MENDHAR, Oct 13: The police arrested a local shopkeeper and recovered 23 pouches of liquor from his possession today.
A police spokesman said that acting on specific information, a police party led by SHO Mendhar, Anzar Mir conducted raid at a tea stall near Bus Stand and arrested its owner, Amit Kumar Sharma, son of Krishan Lal, resident of Ari. 23 pouches of J&K Excise liquor were recovered from his possession. He had kept this liquor illegally for sale in his shop. A case FIR No. 133/2015 under Excise Act was registered against him.
