DODA, Aug 3: Bhalla police arrested a shopkeeper and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bhalla Police Post conducted raid in a shop (dhaba) at Chakrana Seri and recovered 24 quarters of illicit liquor.
Police arrested the shopkeeper, who has been identified as Rajinder Kumar, son of Gori Lal, a resident of Chakrana Seri. The accused used to sell the illicit liquor among the masses to make illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 129/18 under Section 48-F Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Bhaderwah and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Bhalla Police Post SI Sunil Parihar made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Bhaderwah Inspector Muneer Khan, SDPO Bhaderwah Tussif Ahmed, Additional SP Bhaderwah Rajinder Singh and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
