JAMMU, Aug 3: MLA Jammu East and BJP chief whip Rajesh Gupta today inspected various works at Circular Road particularly the upgradation of the drain from Peerkho to Circular Road costing Rs 60 lakhs.
He also took stock of the upgradation work of the drain and lane near Shaikh Amin Kothi costing Rs 10 lakhs and construction of skating ring near Circular Road in Ward No 2 at a cost of Rs 6.50 lakhs.
Earlier, Rajesh Gupta also attended 34th foundation day of the New Era Environmental Higher Secondary School as a chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Gupta said that the management of the School led by the Principal, Prabha Jain is doing an excellent job in developing the school as a premier institution of learning. He promised all possible help of the further development of the sports infrastructure of the school.
The MLA was accompanied by ID Soni, Sudesh Mahajan, BS Jamwal, Wing Commander MN Joshi, Kulbhushan Anand, Sudha Anjum and Raj Bharti, besides BJP leaders, Shashi Sapolia, Rajinder Sikka, Gokul Koul, Vijay Mehra, Vidya Devi, Ramesh Gupta, Neetu, Raman, Kuldeep Kandhari, Chaman Lal, Hari Om Sharma and Sushant Gupta.
