REASI, Nov 30: A young labourer died and two other workers were injured after being hit by shooting stone during road widening work at Sawalakote area of Arnas, here today.
The mishap took place when the road widening work was being carried out by a JCB and a boulder hit the labourers engaged in crate work. While one labourer died on the spot, two others sustained serious injuries and were rushed to District Hospital Reasi for treatment.
The deceased has been identified as Talib Hussain, age 23, son of Chhatu, resident of Dandali, Dhansal, tehsil Arnas. The injured labourers were identified as Sai, age around 42 years, son Alaf Din of Dugga, Tehsil Arnas, district Reasi.
Police registered the case in this connection and shifted body of the deceased to PHC Arnas for post mortem.
