POONCH, Dec 20: Advocate Shoket Amin Manhas has been elected as president, while Advocate Ibrar Hussain Shah as vice president of Bar Association Poonch, for which election was conducted today.
As per the information, elected president Shoket Manhas got 36 votes out of 72 while two other contesting candidates secured 19 and 16, respectively; for the post of vice president, Ibrar Hussain Shah secured 55 out of 72 and other in fray bagged 17; Samir Malik was unopposed elected as general secretary, elected joint secretary Adil Saleem received 52 and another contesting candidate 19.
Newly elected president said that the election was conducted in a friendly manner and the candidates in fray were on front to congratulate elected members.
