UDHAMPUR, Dec 20: We Care Welfare Society (WCWS) J&K-a self-funded organisation organised a free medical camp for eye, general health and heart check-up at village Chiryai, Panchayat Dhanoo, Block Tikri here.
Dr. Abhishekh Sachdeva, Ophthalmologist and his team of eye hospital Sachdeva Netralaya, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu examined patients for all eye diseases. About 150 patients were examined and among them 15 were screened for cataract surgery and they will be operated upon in coming days at Sachdeva Netralya.
Dr. Neeraj Gupta, well-known Cardiologist and Head of ASCOMS Artemis Heart Centre, Jammu and his team, examined patients for general health and heart related problems.
About 135 patients were examined out of which eight patients of heart related problems were referred for further examination and treatment at Artemis Heart Centre.
Facilities of ECG, BP, Blood Sugar (F), eye testing with latest equipments were provided at the camp. Medicines and spectacles were also distributed to the patients free of cost.
Nisha Sharma, Chairperson, BDC Tikri and her whole team of Sarpanches and Panches, helped in providing necessary facilities at the camp.
Dr. R.K Gupta, president WCWS delivered vote of thanks while Rajinder Gupta, general secretary conducted proceedings.
