R.S Pura, Jan 9: An impressive Shoba Yatra was taken out today by the managing committee of Lord Shiva temple, Badyal Brahmana here as a part of installation of Navagraha idols in the temple.
The Yatra was welcomed by showering flowers at various places.
Braving inclement weather the devotees dancing to the chanting of devotional songs, participated in Shoba Yatra.
They will benefit from special spiritual and devotional song sessions in all the seven days during the Jagaran period.
Idols of Navagrahas-Surya, Chandra, Mangal, Budha, Guru, Sukra, Shani, Rahu and Ketu will be installed after culmination of Lord Shiva Katha at Shiv Mandir.
Preachers who were part of the Shoba Yatra talked about importance of installation of Navagrahas.
They said that nine-planetary deities have a great significance in Vedic astrology.
On this occasion, senior Congress leader, Badrinath Sharma was felicitated by Managing Committee of the temple.
