JAMMU, May 29: Shiv Sena Balasahib Thackerey volunteers and volunteers from other Hindu organizations will proceed to holy Cave of Swami Amarnath on May 31 from Jammu to perform the Pratham Poojan of Baba Amarnath Ji on June 2 -the day coinciding with Jesht Purnima.
This was stated by State president of Shiv Sena Bala Sahib Thackeray Dimpy Kohli while talking to reporters here today. He said the Sena has made number of appeals to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) regarding holding of Pratham Poojan of annual yatra on June 2 but there was no response. So the Sena decided to perform poojan on its own in the holy cave on June 2, he added. He said there is a tradition of holding pooja on Jesht Purnima, the first day when holy Amarmath yatra begins.
Kohli said that his organization still appeal to Governor N.N Vohra to arrange this Poojan on June 2 and also permit our volunteers to perform the same. “If the Governor fails to do so our volunteers will proceed to Holy Cave at any cost”, he added,
