JAMMU, Sept 7: Shiv Sena (Bala Sahib Thackery) today strongly criticized State Coalition Government of PDP and BJP for not taking the work of widening of Jammu-Akhnoor Highway seriously.
While talking to media persons, State president of Shiv Sena, Dimpy Kohli, State general secretary Manish Sahni, Avinash Bhatia (chairman) and Rakesh Gupta (deputy chairman) said that years passed away but successive State Governments did not take up this matter seriously.
It is seen every time that huge traffic jams are there on this road, causing inconvenience to all whether locals or tourists. He said many years ago encroachments were removed from one side of this road and after that nothing has been done which is a matter of great concern.
He said that Shiv Sena strongly criticizes all the political parties whether it is NC, Cong, PDP or BJP for not doing their job seriously. He said to solve the problem of traffic on Jammu-Akhnoor National Highway, Government must start work on this project immediately.
He said that Government must awake from deep slumber and must start work for widening of Jammu Akhnoor road. He said that on one hand Government is making schemes to make all roads of country four-lane but in the heart of the city Government is ignoring this project which is most needed.
