JAMMU, Nov 9: Leaders of Shiv Sena (Bala Sahib Thackery) today met Divisional Commis-sioner, Jammu, Dr. Mandeep Kumar Bhandari and apprised him about their problems.
Delegation of Sena was led by its general secretary, Manish Sahni which earlier in an emergency meeting under the leadership of its State president Dimpy Kohli expressed grave concern over the encroachment of the land.
During the meeting with Divisional Commissioner, Manish Sahni said that some anti-social elements are encroaching I&FC Department land near temple situated at River Tawi and as a result road to the temple is getting closed. He said that Shiv Sena will not allow anyone to encroach the road leading to the temple and appealed to State Government to interfere in the matter so that no one can hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus.
Divisional Commissioner listened to the Sena leaders and on the spot and gave directions to different departments of district administration to take necessary steps to stop encroachment on the said land. Shiv Sena leaders complimented the Divisional Commissioner for taking keen interest in the matter.
Working president SS, Ashwani Gupta, senior vice president, Rajeev Bhandawi, vice president Surinder Mahajan, Rajan Gupta, Nathpal Chowdary, Vikas Dewan, Vikas Patel, Sanjeev Sharma were the other members of delegation.
