RANSOO, Mar 5: The three-day Maha Shivratri festival concluded today witnessing variety of events.
According to Mela Officer, more than 1.6 lakh pilgrims visited the holy town during the three day Mela.
On the concluding day of the festival, traditional Dangal was organised at High School Ransoo. A large number of tourists and local people witnessed the event.
Around 20 wrestlers from across India participated in the contests of which the highest bout with a cash prize of Rs 16000 was bagged by Nisar of JKP from Doda. Two young female wrestlers, Poonam Sharma and Rehana Akhtar also participated in the dangal and won huge applause.
The three-day festival was conducted jointly by Directorate of Tourism, District Administration Reasi and Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board.
