JAMMU, Nov 21: Congress candidate from Jammu West, Surinder Singh Shingari today promised the people from western localities of the city to strive for improving water and power supply and ensure better development of lanes and drains, if he is voted to power.
Addressing series of public meetings in Bakshi Nagar, Talab Tillo, Bhagwati Nagar and Mohinder Nagar and also conducting door -to- door campaign in these localities today, Mr Shingari, who turned out to be politician from a social worker said that he has joined politics to serve the masses. He said in the recent elections he has given a slogan, `Mazboot Irada, Sewa Ka Wada’. If the people give him support, he will prove himself as a better choice.
Referring to the major issues of area like water scarcity, unscheduled power curtailments, poor sanitation and worst condition of some lanes and drains, Shingari said that these problems will always be in his mind and he will strive for providing relief to the people. Another big issue of traffic congestion in the western localities will be his top priority. He as public representative would exert pressure on the Government to tackle this issue. People would judge candidates on the merits and support in the coming elections, he maintained.
Mr Shingari appealed the people of Jammu West to support him fully and ensure his win in the elections and accord him an opportunity to serve them for which he is waiting eagerly since previous elections when he was accorded big support by the people of Jammu West Assembly constituency.
