Jammu, Dec 6: While campaigning in different parts of Jammu West constituency, Surinder Singh Shingari said that the election contest of Jammu west is a contest between ‘Seva’ and Money Power’. “I would have appreciated if the other side in the contest would have come in the fray with requisite merit of candidate at first place. In contrast, the other side has resorted to ego and money power instead past performance and merit of the candidate” Shingari said.
He said that he is contesting the election with limited resources against an unexpectedly costly election campaigning. “Every mean and method used by other side is flooded with money. The expenditure incurred by other side has turned this election into Jammu West’s self respect versus money power” he said. The time people of Jammu west are going to prefer service, merit and commitment of the contesting candidates and they cannot be dogged on the basis of party politics only.
Shingari said that the other side has preferred an expensive campaigning plan to divert the attention of the voters from basic performance of their candidates. “Last time people believed their candidates who in turn indulged in cross voting to mint such huge money that the party itself disqualified them having to curtain its deception and the people of Jammu west constituency suffered for six years being un attendant by its MLA. Now they have come up again with an appeal not to consider the candidate but the party” he added.
He appealed the voters to give him a chance so that he may serve the constituency with commitment and dedication.
