POONCH, Nov 10: The traffic on Sher-e-Kashmir bridge was restored today after the Army launched restoration operation and ensured movement of all types of vehicles.
A portion of this bridge had been washed away in massive floods on September 4. Since then, the traffic to Poonch had been diverted via Kalai bridge. This bridge is very vital in defence point of view. The Army engineers launched operation about a week back and restored traffic temporarily on this bridge.
Commander Poonch Brigade, N S Brar, inaugurated the bridge in presence of DC M H Malik and SSP Poonch J S Johar today.
