SRINAGAR, May 23: Centre’s Special Representative on J&K Dineshwar Sharma today called on Governor N N Vohra at the Raj Bhavan.
The Governor and Sharma held extensive discussions regarding the crucial importance of maintaining peace and normalcy in the State; the announcement of unilateral ceasefire on the eve of Ramadan; the recurring cease fire violations from across the IB and LoC and other important issues.
Dineshwar also called on Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti here this evening.
During the meeting, overall situation in the State, particularly after the announcement of the Ramadhan ceasefire by the Centre, came up for discussion.
Sharma apprised the Chief Minister about his recent interactions with a cross section of society in different areas and the situation along the borders in the State.
