JAMMU, Sept 14: Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Akhnoor Varun Jandial has asked the people to share information related to crime in their area.
He stated this while chairing a meeting of Numberdars, Sarpanchs and Chowkidars at Police Station Gharota. SDPO was accompanied by SHO Gharota Inspector Khyati Maan Khajuria.
During the meeting, threadbare discussion took place about illegal mining, issues related to tourists, eradication of drugs related issues and other crime related issues.
SHO Gharota Inspector Khyati Maan Khajuria briefed the gathering to aware the people of their respective areas to maintain social distancing and wear face masks during travelling and follow COVID SOPs. Other important issues discussed were regarding illegal mining, bovine smuggling, illicit liquor etc. and various other important issues.
SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial gave patient hearing to the public and assured them of addressing the genuine demands in shortest possible time. He also encouraged the people to come forward in sharing information related to crime in their area.
In the end, SHO Gharota Inspector Khyati Maan Khajuria presented vote of thanks.
