Migrants at Jagti protest against non payment of relief

JAMMU, Sept 14: Kashmiri Pandits of Jagti led by Sunil Pandita and P L Thusu held a protest demonstration at Jagti township against delay in release of cash relief to the displaced people from Valley.
The protestors said that relief holders totally dependent on cash doles from the Government are facing many hardships as they have not been paid the relief of August till date. They said the old aged persons suffering from various ailments are not in a position to purchase the life saving medicines due to paucity of money. Moreover, the parents of children are not able to pay school fee or tuition fee etc due to non payment of relief.
The protestors sought immediate intervention of LG , Commissioner Secretary, Revenue and Relief and Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner in the matter.
