JAMMU, Sept 14: The Jammu and Kashmir UT is witnessing a political development, wherein, large number of people, including prominent citizens, leaders of opposition parties, known social personalities, are embracing BJP in Jammu as well as Kashmir. This has been due to the change in the mindset of the people, who have very minutely seen the policies and programmes of the regional political parties as well as country’s oldest party, Congress, during their rule at the Centre and in the State.
Balbir said that 70 years is a long period as compared to seven years and the parties in opposition, who ruled for so long time, may boast of having run Governments for decades but fail to come out with something extraordinary, which any of them did for the nation, the State and its people.
“Gone are the days when people could easily be mislead for vote bank politics”, Balbir said and added that the present generation is more aware of what the BJP has done for the last seven years, which was only a dream during the Governments prior to Narendra Modi.
Balbir said that promoting family and taking care of own interests had been the hallmark of Congress, NC and PDP, but BJP, after coming into power, entirely changed the concept of governance and welfare of the masses, irrespective of their caste, creed, gender or region.
