JAMMU, Aug 10: The Sthapna Divas of Shri Shani Dev (Shila), a replica of Shri Shani Dev Temple of Shingnapur installed at Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, was celebrated with grand rituals and religious ceremonies, here today.
The programme was started at 8 am by holding Shri Ganesh and Navgreh Puja and Havan/Yagya followed by the Puja of newly installed beautiful Murties of Trishuls and Elephants in Shani Dev Mandir.
Abhishek and Shingar of all these idols was conducted by the Trustees/Special Invitees and Davinder Khawle and family led by renowned Pandits and large number of devotees followed by Puran Ahuti and Maha Arti at 12 `O clock.
Later at 1 pm, a huge Bhandara was organized for general public, where large number of people participated till late in the evening.
Many prominent devotees along with Trustees and special invitees participated in this pious function observing health protocol.
In the end, Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister & President of the Trust, addressed the gathering highlighting the importance of Shani Puja.
Among others, who participated in the auspicious ceremony, included S C Rekhi, Prithvi Raj Vaid, Kulbhushan Bali, PC Gupta, Parshant Sharma, Kapil Slathia, Ved Verma, Jagjit Singh Jamwal, Krishan P Gupta, Ajay Sharma, Kulbir Singh Chib, Tarun Gupta , Kiran Rajput, Sandeep Singh, Samar Dev Singh Charak, Ajay Pandoh, Ram Singh and Indu Bhushan Sharma.
