Sham, Chib, Vakil call on Governor

JAMMU, Mar 3: Sham Lal Sharma, former Minister, called on Governor N. N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan.
Sharma informed the Governor about his views regarding certain important matters relating to development and restoration of peace and normalcy in the State, particularly the need for conduct of elections to Panchayats and Municipalities.
Governor urged Sharma to focus on promoting communal harmony in the Jammu region.
R.S Chib, former Minister also called on Governor and briefed him about issues relating to the implementation of developmental programmes in R.S Pura area, problems faced by farmers living near the LoC, issues relating to agricultural activities in this border area and delay in the implementation of various projects launched for the development of the Border Tourism in this area.
Governor urged Chib to continue his endeavours for the growth and advancement of his area, on all fronts.
Abdul Gani Vakil, former Minister also called on Governor and discussed various matters relating to the restoration of normalcy in the State, functioning of the administrative system and measures needed to be taken for improving the public delivery system.
Governor urged Vakil to continue his endeavours for promoting the people’s welfare.
