NEW DELHI, July 22: Former Minister and BJP vice president Jammu Kashmir, Shakti Raj Parihar met with Union Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh at New Delhi along with BJP senior leader, Ishtiaq Wani today.
Shakti Parihar discussed the issue of early commencement of Bhagwah – Lal Draman defence road and he highlighted the importance of this road which would provide job opportunities to more than two thousand skilled and unskilled labourers.
He urged the Defence Minister to take up this road project on his 1st priority by keeping socio, economic situation and security scenario of the area in mind.
Further, he put-forth special recruitment of the Army in erstwhile Doda district so that educated unemployed get a chance to serve in defence forces. Several other issues related to security and development of the Jammu and Kashmir were also discussed.
The Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh showed serious concern over the issues and he has assured that he will help us in every possible manner in the project. He will be visiting Doda in the month of October or November.
