JAMMU, Apr 26: The J&K Forest Corporation Employees Union urged upon the higher authorities in the J&K Forest Department to address the pending issues of the employees and ensure smooth functioning of the Corporation.
In the meetings of the SFC Employees Union held at Srinagar and Jammu today, under the leadership of MA Siddiqui, Ajaz Ahmed Darzi, Joginder Nath Tickoo, Aijaz Hussain Zargar, Ranjeet Kumar and MA Kichloo, the members discussed various issues of the employees and the Corporation functioning.
They appealed to the Governor’s Administration to take the financial control of the State Forest Corporation. They further urged upon the higher authorities to draw the monthly salaries of the SFC workers through Govt treasuries for proper system and utilization of balance funds by the Government; to pay the other legitimate dues of the SFC employees pending since long including 6th and 7th Pay Commission arrears; to remit all the income yielded out of timber auctions at auction depots and timber supplied to general public on concessional rates to Govt treasuries; to monitor the payments of contractors and other suppliers through Govt treasuries and to provide the markings of trees well in time year-wise as per guidelines of the Supreme Court of India.
