KISHTWAR, Sept 28: A meeting of SFC Employees Union, Chenab Valley, was held here under the chairmanship of Nisar Ahmed Zargar, wherein the participants expressed strong resentment over the inexplicable delay in releasing the due DA to SFC employees.
The participants described the callous attitude of the higher authorities as inhuman and unethical in fulfilling the genuine demands of SFC employees, who have been facing lot of hardships in running their day-to-day affairs with meager pay.
The speakers expressed worry over the accumulation of huge arrears of DA, the release of which may prove difficult for the SFC later on. The meeting decided to extend full support to the strike to be observed in the Head Office at Srinagar on September 29.
The chairman of the Union exhorted all the employees to get united in the struggle for achieving the goal. He also announced that the general strike in the entire Chenab Valley will be observed if their demands are not met with immediately.
He urged the Managing Director to release the DA in favour of SFC employees and also accord pensionary benefits to them.
