JAMMU, Sept 28: A fortnight long celebrations of Hindi Pakhwara of Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1, Gandhi Nagar, came to an end today with Prize Distribution Function.
The celebrations were commenced on September 14, 2012 to promote the use of National language. Different activities including competitions like solo song (Hindi), nibandh lakhen, Hindi Prashan Manch, kavita path, hasya vyang kavita path, soochna pat paddarshan, slogan writing, wachan paitiyogita, sulekh etc at Primary and secondary levels.
On the concluding day, prizes were given to those who stood first second and third in the said competitions. The function was organised in collaboration with State Bank of Patiala, Gandhi Nagar. Deputy Manager of the Branch, Ravi Sharma gave away the prizes to the winners.
In his address, Sharma asked the students to give due importance to the National language.
