SRINAGAR, June 9: Several members raised issues of public importance during the Zero Hour in Legislative Council here today.
Vikramaditya Singh called for making adequate arrangements for yatries during Machail Yatra in Bhaderwah.
Vibodh Gupta demanded release of pending dues for the works carried out in convergence of various departments in Rajouri and Poonch districts, besides posting of Block Development Officers (BDOs) and Junior Engineers (JEs) in Rajouri.
Surinder Choudhary demanded removal of encroachment from 500 kanals Animal Husbandry Farm in Nowshera. Saif-Ud-Din demanded posting of Veterinary doctors in upper reaches of Doodhpathari and Budgam for proper treatment of sheeps. Sofi Yusuf demanded timely release of pension to widows, old aged and disabled persons.
Naresh Kumar Gupta demanded release of selection list of candidates selected under Technician-III for district Doda.
Dr. Bashir Ahmad Veeri demanded repair and black-topping of Gujjar Basti road in Khiram area of Bijbehara, while as Showkat Hussain Ganai demanded repair of Rahmoo Bridge over Romshi Nallah in Pulwama district.
Sajjad Kichloo demanded framing a comprehensive policy to address the issues of daily wagers and casual labourers. Ali Mohammad Dar demanded establishment of Degree College in Chadoora of district Budgam.
Qaiser Jamsheed Lone and Firdous Tak drew the attention of the Government towards situation arisen due to recent rains and hailstorm across the State, saying that the Government should immediately depute joint teams to assess damage caused to crops and other properties.
