Seven fresh cases of Dengue

JAMMU, Nov 3: Seven more people were today tested positive for Dengue virus taking the total number of patients affected with the vector-borne disease in Jammu region to 126.
According to Dr BS Pathania, Director, Health Services Jammu, a total of 36 tests were conducted today for Dengue out of which seven turned out to be positive. He said all the seven infected persons are male adults.
Giving more details, Dr Pathania, said that out of the seven Dengue infected persons four belong to Kathua district while one each belongs to Jammu, Samba and Doda districts.
He further disclosed that the till today the department conducted 748 tests for Dengue out of which 126 were found to be positive for Dengue virus.
Dr Pathania advised the people not to store water in open utensils and allow stagnation of water in their surroundings, as stagnant water is a breeding ground for Dengue mosquitoes. He also advised the people to prevent themselves from mosquito bites.
