Services of 8 Law Officers terminated

SRINAGAR, July 28: The Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs has terminated the services of eight Law Officers in two wings of the High Court.
These Law Officers are Sr Advocate General Subash Chander Gupta, Additional Advocate General Jagdish Parihar, A H Qazi and Aijaz Chesti, Deputy Advocate General Vinod Bakshi and Rameshwar Singh Jamwal and Government Advocates M A Thakur and Nusrat Razak.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Yousaf Bhat and Mushtaq Ahmad Chashoo have been appointed as Additional Advocate General and Rafiq Bakshi and Shuja-ul-Haq Tantray as Government Advocates.
As reported today, AAG Gagan Basotra has been appointed as Senior Additional Advocate General, H S Sidiqui, Seema Shekhar and Ravinder Sharma as AAGs and Inderjeet Gupta as Deputy Advocate General.
It is pertinent to mention here that Seema Shekhar was appointed as the Additional Advocate General in November 2005. She was the first and only women advocate in State to hold the post of AAG. She has been appointed as AAG for the second time.
