JAMMU, Sept 1: All J&K Senior Citizens Welfare Council organised its Annual General Body Meeting (AGBM) in the office complex of State Commissioner Scouts and Guides , Gandhi Nagar, near here wherein detail discussion based on performance of organisations was taken up. K K Gandotra, presented accounts and annual report of last financial year during the meeting.
After intensive and threadbare discussion in which some relevant suggestions put forth by different members for improving the functioning of organisation were considered. Some of the old citizens kept their views and stressed on making organisation more relevant in future.
The election of new body took place and new team was elected unanimously.
Those who spoke were Manjeet Singh, Balbir Singh,Raj Sharma, J S Manjit, Ravinder Kour. Nirmla Chatto was elected president, Sarla Kohli as senior vice president, Manjit Singh as senior vice President,K N Singh as vice President and S C Gupta as general secretary.
However, some observers like Vijay Kumar national awardee, NYK, Rampaul Dogra social activist and journalist of social background also participated to witness the whole process. Vote of thanks was given by Ravinder Kour.
