JAMMU, Sept 1: Nine persons including eight students were injured when a mini-bus carrying them turned turtle this afternoon in Miran Sahib area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a speeding mini-bus bearing registration number JK02R-2411 was on its way from Jammu to Nari in Miran Sahib when it turned turtle at Nari, resulting into injuries to nine passengers, most of them students which were returning to their homes after attending schools.
He said that the injured were identified as Anjali Sharma (14) daughter of Manohar Lal of Nari, Gautam Hansa (12) and Jatin Hansa (11), both sons of Joginder Pal and resident of Nari, Kajal Devi (14) daughter of Tarsem Lal of Khaipar, Doulat Ram (59) son of Mool Raj of Nari, Meena Choudhary (17) daughter of Des Raj of Nari, Vipin Kumar (15) son of Dev Raj of Khaipar, Chandni Devi (14) daughter of Sunesh Kumar of Khaipar and Manu Devi (14) daughter of Tilak Raj of Khaipar.
“All the passengers got minor injuries and were shifted to Sub District Hospital RS Pura from where Anjali and Kajal were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu”, the spokesman said, adding a case FIR No 121/2017 under Section 279/337 RPC was registered at police station Miran Sahib and further investigations were underway.
