It was a general complaint of the public of J&K UT that Ayushman Bharat PM-Jay scheme launched by Government of India is not accepted by SMVD, Narayana Hospital, Karkyal, Katra when the Hospital is in the empanelled list of hospitals for which re-imbursement of medical expenses up to Rs. Five lakhs per family is admissible. Since there is only one private hospital available in the surrounding area of holy town, Katra, implementation of this scheme is a dire need in the crucial time of COVID, Sharma added.

After transfer and relieving of Ashok Kumar, SDM from Katra the post of SDM is lying vacant. Since this post is very sensitive in nature, an independent SDM needs to be posted at Katra and DC Reasi assured to approach to the higher authorities for the same.
Sharma a prominent social and political activist made an appeal to Lieutenant Governor of J&K UT, Manoj Sinha to intervene in the matter and direct concerned authorities to take prompt action in this regard.
