Sena demands jobs’ reservation for J&K youth

JAMMU, Aug 23: Showing deep concern of high unemployment rate among J&K youth vis-à-vis national average, Shiv Sena demanded reservation of jobs in all private and Government organizations for the residents of J&K till 2024.
Talking to reporters here today, working president and J&K General Secretary of Shiv Sena, Manish Sahni said, unemployment percentage of J&K for the age group of 18-29 years is 24.6 per cent whereas the national average is 13.2.
Sahni termed it as “a gift from Kashmiri rulers” and further added that J&K tops the list of 5 most unemployed States of India as per CMIE report.
He appealed to the Prime Minister and Home Minister that reservation of jobs for the J&K resident should be made till 2024.
Shiv Sena leader also said that after the abrogation of Article 370 from J&K there is hope of more job opportunities.
Shiv Sena Mahila wing president, Meenakshi Chibber; Chairman, Rakesh Gupta; General Secretary, G.I Singh and others were also present.
