Sena asks BJP not to delay decision on AIIMS

JAMMU, July 3: Shiv Sena Balthakeray today urged the Government not to delay its decision on establishment of separate AIIMS in Jammu.
Talking to reporters here today Sena president, Dimpy Kohli, Rakesh Gupta, Vikrant Kapoor and G I Singh said that there is a brewing resentment among the people on delaying the decision in this regard. They said the BJP leaders should understand the gravity of the situation and mere assurances can’t do any thing.
They said the Sena has already taken up the issue with higher ups in the organization both at New Delhi and Mumbai and they assured full support to the demand.
Even the leaders of the Party in Parliament have assured to take up the issue with top ranks in Union Government to seek justice for Jammu region, they added.
The Sena leaders demanded that proper notification be issued by GoI in this regard. They warned that in case the issue was not resolved before July 20 Sena will launch an indefinite agitation like 2008 land row agitation.
Kohli also expressed his resentment over the increase in the duration of BEd and MEd courses by Jammu University from one year to two years while the Kashmir University and this way it is a discrimination with Jammu people.
He also announced office bearers for Bari Brahmana with appointment of Raj Singh as president.
