Self-employment major factor for 38 pc males remaining bachelors

MUMBAI: Around 38 per cent self-employed, start-up entrepreneurs are not getting marriage proposals because of their uncertain financial future, a recent survey has found.

The trend survey, conducted by ‘Pavitra Vivah Wedding Report 2019’, revealed that 30 per cent businessmen and professionals feel they are not getting proper choices for marriages as they have no time to meet suitable, compatible candidates, while 28 per cent traditional family-managed businesses are seeing downfall, as their next generation is opting for individual choice of career, while four per cent businessmen sight some other inevitable challenges.

The survey also highlighted the point that India needs lakhs of Power Couples for overall growth of the Indian Economy. It also cites examples of successful couples like Murtis of Infosys, Patils of Veena World and Kesari Tours, apart from Ambanis of Reliance.

The event, hosted by Pavitra Vivah and Udyami Maharashtra on Sunday, saw around 100 entrepreneurs, in the age group of 21-40 years, from across Maharashtra, participating at the mega show, having businesses, ranging from traditional ideas to un-conventional, yet profitable ones. (AGENCIES)
