SEECC-A urges Govt not to harass Jammu employees serving in Valley

JAMMU, Sept 4: School Education Employees Co-ordination Committee (SEECC-A) has appealed the administration to take Lecturers ,Teachers and parents of students of Kashmir into confidence to reopen the schools there and stop harassment of the teaching fraternity, besides ensuring safety and security of Jammu employees surveying in the Valley.
During the meeting, speakers also demanded strict implementation of transfer policy, departmental examination for promotion of all cadres of school education department to bring efficiency, rationalization of teaching staff, regularization of all incharge cadres, RETs, KGBV Teachers, SBM and Computer Operators.
Speaking on the occasion, Amar Nath Thakur, State chairman of SEECC, criticized the recruitment of 10+2 Lecturers on contractual basis through PSC. “This is discriminatory and Government must reconsider this policy,” he said and also appealed the Education Minister and Commissioner Secretary to repatriate all Principals, Lecturers and Masters who have completed one year service in zone III, particularly in Leh and Kargil.
Surjit Singh, State president of Headmasters Forum, said that all gazetted officers who are promoted and are above 55 years of age, should not be adjusted in far flung areas. He also demanded the removal of pay anomaly of Headmasters and Master grade, pending since long in the pay anomaly committee.
Others, who spoke in the meeting, included Dileep Kumar Dhar, Yog Raj Singh, Bansi Lal, Pushp Raj, Mohd Sadiq, Parveen Singh, Ashoni Sharma, Romesh Singh, Kuldeep Singh , Tara Mani, Des Raj, Manjeet Singh, Babu Ram, Krishan Lal, Harish Krishan, Puran Singh and Surjeet Singh Jasrotia.
