Security grid tightened in Rajouri

JAMMU, Dec 9: After terror attack in Nagrota, in which 3 militants were neutralized and 7 Army soldiers attained martyrdom, the security grid has been tightened further in the district by deploying additional men for night patrolling.
Security has been beefed up here after the Nagrota attack with additional raise of check points and deployment of troops, a senior police officer said.
“Though the security was already in place in view of Eid-i-Milad-ul-Nabi falling on December 16, but we have further strengthened the grid after Nagrota attack on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway”, he stated.
He added that apart from raised check points, additional men have also been deployed in the district for night patrolling while men in civvies are also on job.
“Surprised raids and checkings are also being conducted in hotels and lodges while checking is also enhanced in densely populated areas including bus-stand”, he added.
However, all preventive measures are also being taken across the district starting from Sunderbani to Bimber Gali (BG).
While talking to the EXCELSIOR, SSP Rajouri Mohammad Suleman Choudhary said “We have tightened the security grid further across the district, so that no anti-national activities can took place”.
Every vehicle entering the district is being frisked and the suspicious persons have been questioned, he said, adding that night patrolling across the district has been enhanced by deploying additional men so as to foil the nefarious designs of the anti-social elements.
