JAMMU, Dec 9: A 28-year-old man was today attacked with a sharp-edged weapon by his neighbour following a scuffle over a minor issue in Gho Manhasa area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, Surjit Singh (28) son of Ujagar Singh, resident of Tarochak (Gho Manhasa) engaged in a scuffle over a minor issue with his neighbour, whose identity was yet to be ascertained, at Badrore (Gho Manhasa).
He said that in a fit of rage Surjit’s neighbour attacked him with a sharp edged weapon (perthi) due to which Surjit sustained some injuries at his right arm. “After providing treatment at Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, the injured Surjit was discharged, as the injuries were not severe”, the spokesman said, adding, a case in this connection was registered and investigations started.
