JAMMU, Dec 9: A girl today allegedly jumped into Chenab River in Akhnoor area of this winter capital of the State.
“A girl identified as Neha Sharma (20), daughter of Charanjeet Sharma, resident of Akhnoor, this morning jumped from new bridge in the River Chenab,” a police spokesman said, adding, despite repeated efforts the body could not be recovered and the search operation have to be suspended in the evening due to darkness.
“A mobile phone and a suicide note have been found from the spot,” the spokesman said and added that the search operation will be resumed again tomorrow morning.
