JAMMU, Mar 8: Former Minister and senior Congress leader, Raman Bhalla today claimed that Congress was the only secular political party which was acceptable by all the sections of the society and in all the three regions of the State.
Addressing public meeting in Ward No. 55 of Gandhi Nagar constituency today, Bhalla said Congress party widely exists in all the three regions of the State and is largely acceptable by the people from all the three regions. He said Congress has served the people of all the three regions to the best of its ability and it is the Congress only which can serve the people of the State best in the days to come.
Bhalla said Congress is strong enough and would emerge as single largest party and return to power in the next Assembly elections in the State. He said that Congress is a vibrant political force in the state and would emerge victorious. Extorting the party cadres to seek decisive mandate from the people for the party, he said that Congress will give a tough fight in each constituency for the formation of the Government in the State.
Former Minister said that vote for Congress will be a vote for stability, peace and prosperity of country and Jammu and Kashmir State in particular. He said that no one except Congress can give nation a stable Government which is the need of hour. The country, he added was passing through most sensitive phase and election of divisive or communal forces to power would destabilize its economy in a big way. Maximum development took place during the tenure of Congress Government which till date has remained matchless, he said.
Bhalla said that only Congress will give equitable share to all the three regions of the State. “All parts of state including Jammu region shall get its due share in every sphere of life only when Congress is voted to power. Congress will ensure justice and equal treatment to Jammu region and all parts when voted to power,” he added.
He lambasted Centre for failing to deal with situation in Kashmir and on borders and questioned the policy of the Central Government. He alleged that BJP totally ignored the sentiments and aspirations of the people from Jammu region.
