REASI, July 28: Due to heavy rain and increasing water level, District Magistrate Reasi has ordered imposition of restrictions under Section 144 CrPC along the bank of River Chenab, other rivers and rivulets within the jurisdiction of district Reasi.
SSP Reasi has been directed to implement the order in letter and spirit, which shall remain in force with effect from July 28 to August 3, 2021.
Pertinent to mention that General Manager NHPC Ltd, Salal Power Station, Jyotipuram has also notified that emergent flushing shall take place today from reservoir of the Salal Power Station. The gates of Salal Dam shall be opened at any time as discharge is in increasing trend due to cloud burst at approximately 50 kms upstream of Kiru.
